En 1906, le diabolo se vend avec deux paires de baguettes, l'engouement pour le "Diabolo Tennis"  se répand en Angleterre et en France:

"Le nouveau sport se joue sur les "courts" de lawn-tennis avec les mêmes règles, et on le considère déjà comme appelé à un avenir supérieur à ce dernier, car il exige plus d'adresse et d'habilité, un effort athlétique plus grand et ce qui n'est pas pour déplaire aux jeunes filles, il est infiniment plus gracieux.

Une des caractéristiques du "Diabolo" c'est l'attrait que représente le match de deux joueurs se lançant la balle rotative à de très grandes distances et à une très grande hauteur." L'Illustration, 29 septembre 1906.

In 1906, the diabolo is sold with two pairs of baguettes, the craze for the " diabolo Tennis " spreads in England and in France:

"An other form of tennis: the old game "diabolo" revived: How to play "diabolo", the new form of an old game.

M. Pappinart has revived the eighteenth-century game "diabolo", wich is now becoming very popular, especially in France. It is something like lawn-tennis, only the courts are single, and the net is higher. There is no racquet and no ball. The place of the former is taken by two sticks joined by a silk cord and the latter by two conneeted cones of celluloid, called the "devil" (diabolo), resembling a dice-box. The server spins the devil on the cord and sends it across the net. His rival endeavours to catch it on the cord and return it. It must be taken at the volley, not at the rebound. The scoring is exactly that of lawn tennis."
